80's Ibanez Blazer Series Electric Guitar Made in Japan. In excellent condition.
Includes hard case.
The BL550 is a Blazer series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1981. It was made in Japan by Dyna Gakki. The Blazer series is a line of guitars with styling similar to the Fender Stratocaster.
The BL550 features an ash body bolted to a rock maple neck with a 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot position markers. Components include three Ibanez Super Tap 6 single coil pickups mounted in a black pickguard with a coil-tap toggle and a phase switch for the middle pickup, a brass synchronized tremolo bridge and Smooth Tuner II machine heads.
For 1982 the body material was changed to birch and basswood and a white pickguard and pickup covers were adopted.
The BL500 is a similar model with a fixed bridge. The BL350 is a related model with Blazer SB pickups and chrome hardware.
The BL550 was discontinued after 1982 along with the entire Blazer line.
